Visual expression as a universal language

Since the beginning of human existence, we have adopted the habit of communicating ideas, emotions or life experiences through the medium of drawing. The tools and materials have always been endless.
It was an extraordinary breakthrough when the first human beings discovered that they could leave their impression of remarkable events on rocks, caves, sand, trees – whatever their surroundings had to offer – by drawing or carving on their surfaces. Drawing became a visual language for expressing any kind of information, and its evolution soared with magnitude.
The hieroglyphs and the alphabets which our ancestors created were an ingenious way of sharing a huge amount of information in the most compressed form. In fact, they were drawings too – a combination of curves and lines. The art of displaying alphabets in a different style is now known as typography.

Nowadays, computer software has become an efficient as well as enjoyable tool for creating and representing any kind of concept through drawing. The art of drawing known as graphic art has two main streams – vector graphics and bitmap graphics. Each of them have their own beauty and usability!
